SIGMASOFT Expert Certification
Torsten Kruse received the prestigious award of “Expert” at
Sigma’s conference in Itasca, IL
on September 16, 2011. Being the 1st in his field to be
“certified”, Torsten attributes becoming a
successful analyst with a culmination of knowledge in molding processes,
materials and mold making. Communication
is critical. Understanding the part,
how the mold is produced and the process in which it will be produced is the
basis of his analysis, thus producing the
perfect simulation and effective suggestions to improve the part / mold design
and manufacturing technique.
In order to be certified as an “Expert”,
Torsten had to complete a strenuous course to demonstrate a strong working
knowledge of all relevant aspects of injection molding and SIGMASOFT. Torsten was required to select and prepare
three projects to solve the molding issues of filling,
packing/cooling/curing and stress.
Having demonstrated a strong knowledge of early detection of potential
issues, an explanation of the root cause,
in addition to projected solutions and
simulated proposals, Torsten received
certification from SIGMA Plastic Services
Inc.
